Endometriosis

Endometriosis? What is that? If we search it in the internet, we will know what is that. Referring to wikipedia, endometriosis is a gynecological medical condition in women in which endometrial-like cells appear and flourish in areas outside the uterine cavity, most commonly on the ovaries.. The uterine cavity is lined by endometrial cells, which are under the influence of female hormones. These endometrial-like cells in areas outside the uterus (endometriosis) are influenced by hormonal changes and respond in a way that is similar to the cells found inside the uterus. Symptoms often worsen with the menstrual cycle. 

Or in melayu nye is penyakit endometriosis ini adalah satu keadaan luar biasa di mana tisu dari selaput dalam rahim yang digelar endometrium telah tumbuh di bahagian yang tidak sepatutnya iaitu di luar rahim. Selaput ini biasanya luruh bersama-sama darah haid. Oleh itu campuran darah dari rahim dengan tisu yang telah berkecai daripada lapisan endometrium serta kuman-kuman bakteria, menjadikan apa yang digelar ‘darah kotor’ atau darah haid.

Yours truly is having this thing at her left ovary, and it's 6 cm x 5 cm.Take your ruler and measure how big is 6 cm. Just came across that i'm having this thing in a few days before ramadhan after having a very painful period pain sampai balik ofis awal and en. tunang yang hantar balik. i can't drive. 

The next day. my colleague, kak nadia asked me to do a scanning at her gynae, Dr. Fazlina at Pusat Perubatan Al-Zahrah,Bangi. Before she did the scanning, she asked me a few questions and she said anything above 5 cm we need to remove. As expected by me, when Dr. Fazlina scanned my tummy, terus nampak there is a cyst at my left ovary. She said nampak macam besar and once she measured the cyst is 6 cm big! omg. Never thought it will be that big. She scanned my right ovary and it's clean.

Dr. Fazlina said that cyst is not dangerous but it will be painful during my period.  She suggested to remove it because she's afraid it's hard for me to get pregnant once i get married later. She wanted to have a second appointment another two months to monitor whether it's growing or not. 

I expect that i have a cyst because every time i'm period, i will get together the combo meal which is the period pain and the pain is getting worst month by month.

En. Tunang is really worried about me bila dia dapat tahu, and bila i showed him the above picture to him, he is really confuse and curious to know. Kak Nadia explain to him what happen to me.

Same goes with my family, they are really worried, especially my mama. If possible, she doesn't want me to be operate.

Then, my family decided to go to my sister's gynae at glenagles. He scanned and dia pun jumpa the same thing. Also the same response get from him, i need to remove it because it will effect my chances to get pregnant besides i will suffer with period pain and i akan sakit when i "bersama" with my husband after marriage.  The only way to prevent from the cyst to ada balik is to get pregnant. The saddest part is when doctor said that my left ovary is not functioning anymore even though after operation. He will try to save as much as he can. 

Forget to share that my cyst is a complex cyst and inside it is blood. :( Doctor wanted to meet me again on 9th October, which is on fie's birthday and after that we will decide what to do whether the cyst is shrinking or growing. If i go with operation, doctor will do an open operation compared to "tebuk type" because the cyst is big, and 6 weeks of hospitalization leave. It's a major operation but yet it's still not dangerous.

For now, we all ikhtiar cara lain dulu such as makan hamatus sauda, monavie and also stem cell. Hoping that the cyst is shrinking and shrinking...

A lot of things across my mind and this one is on top of my list. I can't stop thinking of it..but i have to be strong. Tak boleh stress nanti the cyst boleh jadi besar due to unbalanced hormones..
